There is a new entrant in the ever-growing competitive athletic footwear market in the form of Lululemon Athletica. The company which deals in athleisure products like leggings and yoga pants, announced its plans to expand into the footwear domain. Blissfeel, a running shoe made for women is the first product to announce its arrival.
The athletic-shoes market saw an annual sales growth of 20% in 2021 due to the increasing demand of casual sports wear during the pandemic. People are preferring to work from home even after the steady re-opening of offices which means a positive forecast for the industry.
Blissfeel shoes will be available for everybody from the 22nd of March in select stores across North America, China and the UK as well as for online sales. The latest foam cushion technology will be used for the kicks which will debut in 10 amazing colours. The shoes, priced at $148 are designed to focus on the needs and demands of active sportswomen.
The company is planning to add cross-training shoes in three varieties later in the year, for women, specially crafted to cater to their post-workout needs. Lululemon said that a separate footwear line designed for men will see the light next year.
