Singapore’s state investment firm Temasek is spearheading a $40 million funding round in a Chinese startup Well-Link Technologies. According to the business database Tianyancha, the startup Well-Link Technologies has investors including Chinese tech company Xiaomi and Chinese gaming celebrity miHoYo.
The Singapore firm’s publicly reported ‘exposure to China’ has decreased over the last two years, falling from 29% in 2020 to 22% in March. According to Dealogic, Temasek had only participated in eight China finance agreements as of last week, down from 41 the previous year.
Well-Link Technologies, based in Beijing, has created a business on real-time cloud rendering in just three years, including assisting miHoYo with the introduction of the cloud edition of the hit game ‘Genshin Impact’.
