In order to expand each company’s network and make it simple for passengers to reach hundreds of locations both domestically and abroad, United Airlines and Emirate Airline have announced a new business partnership.
Beginning in March 2023, United will launch a new direct flight between New York and Dubai. Passengers can fly to more than 100 cities from the United Arab Emirates city on Emirates or its sister airline Flydubai.
“United’s new flight to Dubai and our complementary networks will make global travel easier for millions of our customers, helping boost local economies and strengthen cultural ties,” stated United CEO Scott Kirby.
Soon, passengers on both airlines will be able to purchase these connecting flights on a single ticket, making check-in and luggage transfer more efficient. Additionally, the agreement will provide more opportunities for rewards for members of both airlines’ loyalty programs by allowing them to accrue points on flights taken by each airline.
