The American multinational technology company opened its Self Service Repair online store yesterday on Wednesday as a result of “right to repair” movement. The new program brought 200 genuine Apple parts and repair tools for iPhone 12 and 13 series. Customers now will be able to fix issues related to display, batter, camera with the new tools.
The program is now launched in the U.S and is expected to expand to other countries, beginning in Europe, later this year. iPhone users can now select and order parts off the Apple Self Service Repair Store and can also mail their old parts for store credit. It begins with manuals, parts and some tools to repair certain Mac computers. Customers even have an option to rent out repair tools for $49 for a week with free shipping.
The shop has displays, batteries, speakers, camera modules, SIM trays and Taptic engines with a bunch of various spare parts like bolts and screws. The prices come across the range with an iPhone 13 display bundle going for $269.95 while a spare battery bundle is for $70.99. Additionally, mailing in your old display nets you $33.60 in store credit while an old battery gets you $24.15.
