Update your Chrome browser! There is a “severe” security flaw circulating in the wild that may allow a malicious website to take control over your PC. Google has said that it won’t provide details on the bug until majority of the Google Chrome users have installed the security patch. The bug in question is a zero-day security hole which means that the vulnerability is unknown to the company and thus a major flaw as it is open to exploit and out in the wild until fixed with a patch. Currently it is being tracked as CVE-2022-2294, it is a buffer overflow in WebRTC, a real-time communication standard supported in all major browsers, used for building audio and video applications on websites. The bug can be exploited to cause program crashes, execute binary code, and even bypass your security by executing malicious code.
