Sony has announced that the new PlayStation Plus gaming membership tiers will go live on June 13th in the United States. The new PlayStation Plus tiers are similar to Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass, which charges a monthly fee for access to a rotating library of titles.
A list of games that will be available throughout the launch period has also been given by Sony. It’s worth noting that, at least initially, Sony’s new membership tiers would exclude new first-party games like “Horizon Zero Dawn” and “Horizon Forbidden West.”
The PlayStation Plus Essential comes at a cost of $9.99 per month whereas the PlayStation Plus Extra costs $14.99 per month. The top tier also known as PlayStation Plus Premium is set to cost $17.99 per month.
Sony also announced that Ubisoft’s membership service, Ubisoft Plus Classics, will be available on PlayStation. PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium subscribers have access to Ubisoft+ Classics games.
