Ford Motor’s 2021 sales declined by 6.8% from the same period in the last year, but Ford Motor ends 2021 with strong comeback in the fourth quarter.
Inventory jumped in the month of December to 247,000 vehicles from 22,000 in November, which is a sharp turnaround the semiconductor chip shortage earlier in the year.
The Detroit Automaker Ford Motor had a banner fourth quarter which was highlighting selling of 508,451 vehicles in the fourth quarter indicating a 27% rise over the earlier quarter of 2021.
This tells that Ford Motor was successful in ending the 2021 on a higher note.
Andrew Frick, vice president of Ford sales in the U.S. and Canada said, “Company was pleased with Ford’s finish for the year.”
Ford also became the USA’s second best-selling automaker in the category of all-electric vehicles behind the number one Tesla.
Frick said, “That’s our aspiration to become the clear No. 2 electric vehicle maker in the next couple years.”
